Welcome to the Birmingham Primary Schools Football Association Web page.

Our aim is to promote football for all primary school children providing a wide range of competitions and encouraging the development of football skills and positive sporting attitudes.

Birmingham Primary Schools Football Association is an affiliated member of the English Schools Football Association and is responsible for the oversight of primary school football in Birmingham. The committee is representative of the eight Birmingham districts:

Aston & West, East Birmingham, Erdington, Harborne,
Kings Norton, Saltley, South Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield.

The association organises the following citywide competitions:
Inter District 6 a side and 11 a side championships
HMS Birmingham Shield inter school knock out tournament – 11 a side
Inter school mini soccer championship for boys and girls
Inter school indoor football championship for boys and girls

The Association is self-funding receiving only a small grant form the ESFA towards administration costs. All other costs – hire of venues, trophies and medals etc. Are met by fundraising, programme sales and small sponsorship contributions.

We hope the web page will help you keep up to date about the primary schools football season and also provide contact points for any body interested in participating in primary schools football.

Chris Smith, Chairman,
